The Lower Haight pizzeria that headed most 2025 lists

Jules opened on Fillmore in the Lower Haight in May 2025 and spent the rest of the year on best-of lists, which for a pizzeria in this city is harder than it sounds. The room is small and the pizza is the whole argument.

The Lower Haight is a three-block strip that has kept its bars and lost most of its restaurants over the years. Jules is the reason people from other neighbourhoods walk up here again. Expect a wait at weekends.

World-class pizza with an overall pretty casual and fun atmosphere. The sauce flight adds a lot to the experience.

Do yourself a favor and run to this local gem. Booked a table on DoorDash Reservations. Cozy, buzzing atmosphere makes for a perfect environment to enjoy a meal. Recommend: Caesar, Crudo (pictured), Drunken Sailor pizza (phone did not eat first!)

It’s what you want. Is it sourdough? No. Is it Detroit? No. It’s delicious. It’s great. You’re gonna like it. The chef just loves pizza and this is his version of how he loves pizza. What a gift. Please enjoy.

Really unique style pizza. Puffy crust like Napoli, but the chew of sourdough and crisp no-flop of a great NYC pie. Toppings are perfectly proportioned and don't weigh it down. World class.

In my never ending quest to eat at all the popular, overly discussed restaurants in SF, I had to stop by Jules pizza eventually. Reservations are made weeks in advance for this popular spot. Just a few blocks from the Judah muni line, easy to get to which is nice. The restaurant is dark with small tables to sit at. They offer appetizers and thin crust pizza from their menu. Drinks, beer, and wine are available for drinks. We enjoyed the carrots as our first dish and two different pizzas for the table. If you like thin crust pizza, this place is worth the trip.
