Indian and Nepali cooking on the Lombard Street corridor
Kava opened on Lombard in May 2026, on the six-lane approach to the Golden Gate Bridge, where restaurants compete with traffic noise for attention. The menu is mostly Indian with Nepali dishes worked in alongside it.
The Marina has always been short on Indian restaurants for its size. Most of the neighborhood has been ordering from further out. Delivery makes up a large share of the business here, which leaves the dining room calm even at dinner.
