Farmers market pasta moves into the old Cook Weaver space
Cafe Lolo sold pasta at farmers markets before taking over Cook Weaver's Capitol Hill room in March 2026, Russian folk mural included. It runs all day now.
Pasta is only part of it: there are sandwiches, salads and a lot of local grain and produce on the menu. Lunch is the easiest time to get a table.

Quite, cute cafe serving up delicious and delicate dishes, was offered a parting gift for some service work Completed for the owners and was compelled to write this as the layering of flavors for a simple dish that was given was impressive. Taking such a staple of a dish and having those layers made each bite a new experience. It's a quick or sit down place and I highly recommend trying.

Honestly my favorite place in seattle right now. Atmosphere: the staff are so kind and welcoming, you can tell they love working there. But there’s this ease and comfort of the place that makes you forget you’re at an incredible restaurant. The feat the staff pulls off to make it such a fantastic experience while also working so hard could be the whole review itself! It is a gorgeous space that is warm and comfortable. No spot I’ve sat here feels like the “bad table” that no one wants. You can tell the space was curated with care. Food: was absolutely outstanding. Fun flavors that made me feel like I was having a completely new experience with every dish. Paired with our server, Leah, it was incredibly approachable and felt like I was in their own home being served dinner by my own family. Every dish felt different from the last but continued a story that only Cafe Lolo can tell. The physical dishes for the food are hand made and added to the uniqueness of the space. Every restaurant nowadays are the same cookie cutter spot trying to do something that’s already been done. Lolo is unapologetically itself in color, taste and hospitality. It is exciting and so special to be there, I was thrilled the entire experience. I was so excited to bring my out of town friend to the restaurant and it did not disappoint. If you have not been here, you are missing out. There is an art to food/hospitality that Lolo paints in colors that are made from hard work, love, and a respect of the craft that I have not experienced in a long time. Cafe Lolo continues to show the food world that excellent food is still alive and breathing in Seattle. Hats off to the team.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE. I had been eyeing Cafe Lolo ever since they first opened their doors in the beautiful historic building on Roy, and I finally got a chance to poke my head inside for a friend's birthday dinner. It was everything I had hoped for and more, with the most comforting and cozy ambiance (enhanced by the historical building and murals), warm and friendly staff, and delicious food. We had the honor of being served by Leah, one of the three co-founders, and it was such a treat. She (and everyone else on the team) was super friendly and excited to answer all our questions about the menu and what goes into running such a phenomenal eatery. And the food was genuinely jaw-dropping. Every item highlighted fresh, local, seasonal produce in a really fun and unique way. We started with the asparagus and seared spring onions, which was super refreshing. It was served slightly cold, as if the asparagus had been blanched super quickly and then dunked in an ice bath, so it was the perfect first bite after a hot(ish...for Seattle) and sunny day outside. It was very lightly cooked so the asparagus still had a good crisp and crunch to it, and the spring onions offered a great punch of flavor. It was also topped with a bit of sunflower seed hummus (delicious and nutty), preserved lemon (a nice pop of acid and fruitiness, with just a slight hint of funk), and dukkah (great crunch and herby-ness), which all came together to create a really well-balanced dish across temperature, texture, and flavor. Our next dish was the baby bok choy and mushrooms, which was equally delicious. The bok choy was perfectly cooked, maintaining the right amount of crunch and vibrant green color, while still having a good, wilted leafy bit. The mushrooms were perfectly seared and had a wonderful umami flavor, and I loved how the fresh, crisp veggies contrasted against the warmly spiced, soft curried lentils on the bottom. The pickled ramps gave a nice pop of acidity, and the sunchoke chips another nice crunchy texture. We diverged a bit on our mains. She got the only meat-forward dish on the menu, the orecchiette with beef ragu, while I opted for the more veggie-centric fiorentini with green garlic and nettle pesto. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. First of all, fiorentini is just such a fun shape and it's perfect for picking up all the little bits of sauce and flavor. You could absolutely tell that it was freshly made and it was cooked to a perfect al dente. The pesto was deliciously herby and nutty, and it paired wonderfully with the leeks (which were cooked down to almost a paste and offered such a great pop of flavor) and potatoes. The pickled fiddlehead ferns were a fun surprise, but they provided such a wonderful hit of acidity and freshness against an otherwise pretty heavy pasta dish. Even though we were absolutely stuffed from our veggies and mains, we couldn't end the meal without taking a look at the dessert menu. We decided to get their cornmeal custard and wheat cake, and Cafe Lolo very kindly added on the rye and brownie ice cream to celebrate my friend's birthday. Every single dessert was incredible, with the perfect balance of textures and flavors -- none were overly sweet, and each had a mix of crunchy and soft textures. Each dish also highlighted a whole grain and vegetable, so it felt just _slightly_ healthier to sample the entire dessert menu. The ice cream was a hit, and the crunch from the candied hazelnut and slight bitterness from the coffee sauce took the scoop to the next level. The custard was smooth and creamy, and it contrasted beautifully against the sweet and sour poached rhubarb and crunchy oat cookie. The wheat cake had creaminess from the parsnip whip, saltiness from the caramel, and texture from the parsnip chips. The cake itself was quite dense, so I'd recommend this one if you want a more substantive dessert. All in all, outstanding! I can't wait to come back to try the next season's menu or check out their brunch / lunch!

We had such a lovely afternoon here! The cakes were absolutely delicious and so thoughtfully made. One of our favorites had local pecans glazed with caramel on top, and it honestly tasted incredible — rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. A huge thank you to Leah for making the experience even more special. She was so warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Her kindness and positive energy truly stood out and made us feel right at home. We’re visiting from Vancouver and this place ended up being one of the highlights of our Seattle trip. If we come back to Seattle again, we’ll definitely return — and hopefully see Leah again too! Thank you for such a memorable experience 🤍

Do yourself a favor and get to Cafe Lolo as soon as possible! Stopped in last weekend to check out the pastry case and the sonoran wheat buns looked too good to pass up, so we tried both the savory (rutabaga, kale, pecans) and the sweet (tahini with apple butter). Both were amazing. So we headed back to try brunch this weekend. Everything was so delicious. The beans on black bread, buckwheat blintzes, and einkorn cortados were the big standouts this time. Can't wait to try more of the menu! Well balanced flavors with unique ingredients and combinations, and just deeply satisfying dishes. Plus a lovely atmosphere and very friendly, attentive service. 😍
