Isla & Goodlove opened on 15th Street in November 2025 into a dining room of roughly 10,000 square feet, a scale downtown DC rarely commits to for anything that isn't a hotel.
The cooking is Caribbean-inspired rather than strictly traditional. Go with a group; the room swallows a table of two.

I can't rate the food because I came here for after dinner drinks after having a remarkable meal at Isla, but if I had to guess, the food would be good here as well (and not surprised if Goodlove and Isla share the same kitchen). Anyway, came here on a Friday night when DJ Jerome Baker was there and the vibes were IMMACULATE. You absolutely do need a reservation if you want to be comfortable during prime time on a weekend. Otherwise, you can take your chances at the bar, but it gets packed QUICKLY and the venue is on the smaller side, so you'll wish you had a table. Their mocktails are delicious and my friends who enjoyed cocktails said their were amazing. Service was a little slow, but we really didn't care because we were vibing out to the DJ's set. Cannot wait to come back here -- I'd say the perfect evening is dinner at Isla before, then Goodlove for a nightcap.

I came to Good Love Lounge for happy hour while in town and absolutely loved it! It was super close to my hotel, which made it the perfect spot to unwind. The oxtail and Waygu patty was delicious and full of flavor. The drinks were great, and the bartender was amazing. He even introduced me to a new tequila that I ended up really liking. I also loved the low lighting, the decor, and the 90s R&B playing. It gave the place such a cozy and nostalgic vibe. The service was on point, and I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Friendly service, good food, beautiful atmosphere, small portions. The appetizers are made for one, not shareable.

Ray, Roberto were and absolute pleasure. Amazing recommendations and great vibes all around. Chef Corwin and his team have done a phenomenal job with this restaurant. The food, vibes, and aesthetics are world class.
