Bún Chả Đắc Kim: clear exterior shot of restaurant

Bún Chả Đắc Kim

★ 3.9 · 8,263 reviews Hanoi Opened Opening date unknown

A fixture on Hàng Mành, portions built for two

Follow the smoke and you'll find it. Đắc Kim grills pork over charcoal right on the pavement, and the portions are famously huge, a set easily covers two people plus a spring roll.

This is the Old Quarter's other bún chả institution, the one locals argue for over the more famous spot down the street. Lunchtime only, in practice. Seating is the usual low plastic stools spilling onto Hàng Mành.

Great spot and the portion is very generous. Food was very tasty . Alot of chili and garlic are shaped and saved on side with lime . Must add to have all the flavors. Different cuts of meats . Super yummy

Bún Chả is my favorite dish in the world, so I made sure to try it in every city I visited. This place was easily one of the best. The food was so good that I came back three times in one week and ordered the exact same meal every time. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The only negative experience happened once when I was looking at my phone for a moment, and a waitress started taking my plate because she thought I had finished eating. It was a bit frustrating, but apart from that, everything else was excellent.

A Michelin-recognized restaurant that’s a must-visit when you’re in Hanoi. It definitely lived up to the hype—the food was absolutely delicious and well worth the visit. As expected, it’s very popular with both locals and tourists, so it tends to get crowded, especially during peak meal times. The dining area is fairly small, which can make the atmosphere feel a bit busy and chaotic. Despite that, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. If you’re looking to try one of Hanoi’s iconic dining spots, this place should definitely be on your list.

If you ever visit Hanoi, don't miss this place. The bun cha was so good, I've never tasted anything like it before. The soup wasn't too salty, and the vegetables were so fresh to eat together, creating a perfect taste. If you visit around evening time, it might not be too busy. And don't worry if you go alone, they'll arrange a single seat for you, hehe. You'll also meet great people while you eat. I, for example, met some great Japanese friends there. And we even went sightseeing together afterward.

Our fourth bun cha in Hanoi so far (second Michelin recommended that we’ve tried), and it was the best one yet. Good variety of meat and the ingredients were all fresh. Definitely recommend!
