Vietnam's first Korean fine-dining room, one MICHELIN Star
Forget Korean barbecue smoke. Chef Joon Hyuk Chi treats Korean cooking as fine dining, the first kitchen in Vietnam to do it, pairing Seoul technique with Vietnamese sourcing: abalone congee made with award-winning ST25 rice, lobster with ganjang, radish kimchi, Hanwoo short rib.
It picked up one MICHELIN Star in 2026, one of only two Hanoi newcomers to do so. The room is small and dinner is reservation-only, well in advance.

Food is good. Service is great, staffs are very attentive. One problem is about difficulties in reaching restaurant from parking lot. Parking lot staff are also rude and does not accept complementary parking ticket by restaurant, which is not the restaurant's fault.

The food was excellent, especially the rice with the abalone liver sauce—it was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. One small area for improvement would be service consistency. As a matter of etiquette, ladies should be served first. Also, dishes were sometimes served from the left and other times from the right, so maintaining a consistent service style would enhance the overall dining experience.

ONVIT was absolutely incredible. Our meal was better than multiple 3-star Michelin restaurants I’ve dined at in NYC, in both food quality and service. I was actually applauded at the few low rated reviews I just read. Especially the review siting small portions it’s a tasting menu!!! Also, the takeaway gifts were a nice touch. Highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏼👍🏼

We had an absolutely unforgettable dining experience at ONVIT. We chose the tasting menu with the Hanwoo upgrade and the 7-glass wine pairing, and every course was beautifully executed, thoughtful, and full of surprises. The concept of blending Korean culinary techniques with premium Vietnamese ingredients was incredibly unique, and each dish showcased both creativity and respect for local flavors. What truly elevated the evening was the service. The team delivered Michelin-star-level hospitality that felt warm, personal, and genuine rather than formal or intimidating. Every staff member was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the story behind each dish and wine pairing, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout the entire meal. The wine pairings were outstanding and thoughtfully selected to complement each course. Combined with the elegant atmosphere and stunning city views, the experience felt truly special from beginning to end. ONVIT is not just a meal—it is a culinary journey. Without a doubt, one of the best fine dining experiences we have had in Hanoi, and a restaurant we will be recommending to everyone visiting the city. Highly deserving of its Michelin star.

Great dinner! Fantastic meal and wonderful service. Definitely worth the money. Vu was our server and he was fantastic and Jade the sommelier helped us design our own adventure for wine. Absolutely perfect suggestions. She’s probably the best sommelier we’ve worked with . Highly recommend
