Doobie Doo Bar

A disco sakaba stacked with sake on Pham Viet Chanh
Sake is the real reason to come, all the way down to artisanal bottles like Amabuki brewed with strawberry yeast. It gets poured alongside Japanese tapas that borrow ideas from anywhere they please, in a room built to run loud and tight.
Doobie Doo calls itself a disco sakaba, and that nails it: a Japanese drinking den with the volume turned up. It sits on Pham Viet Chanh, the Bình Thạnh strip that now crams in more small bars per block than anywhere else in the city.

This is the best place in town if I want to hang around. Exceptionally good food for a bar, good selection of liquor/sake/Japanese sochu, fun and care service, good open air. What else can you want more? This sets the new standard for the F&B of Saigon. Period.

Wonderful dinner, I live in the area now & I love to support the local restaurants & bars! Very unique Japanese restaurant & bar - more of an izakaya… Wonderful dishes, great food & cocktails too! Delicious house made soy sauce 😋 Many choices for for hot & cold dishes typical of an izakaya 😋 Definitely going back ASAP!
