Tea-driven cocktails from a Tokyo mixologist, up a hidden staircase

Find the unmarked staircase above a convenience store on Ho Tung Mau, and you're in Shuzo Nagumo's Ho Chi Minh City outpost. The drinks lean on tea, distillation and cold brewing rather than straight spirits. The room doubles as an exhibition space, part cocktail bar, part art show.

Each drink is built around a story rather than a base liquor, which sounds precious and mostly isn't. It brings Tokyo-level technique to a city that had very little of it until now.
