Home-style Vietnamese down an alley in Tân Bình

Down an alley off Cach Mang Thang Tam, far from the tourist strips, Tà Tà cooks the kind of Vietnamese food people actually make at home. Think braises, clay pots, a soup that changes with whatever the market had that day.

Rice comes with the meal instead of as an extra, which tells you what kind of place this is. Bring cash, it's easier than card.

This is a hole-in-the-wall kind of bistro. Brings me back to Europe with cozy homey vibe, but al dente and Michelin-deserving taste. The staff surprised me with their care and attention. Very well-trained. The food portion was price worthy, particularly the rice dish. Though truthfully, I was most blown away by their brioche with pate. Bread size could be larger to accompany the amount of pate we have left, but my friend ended up eating a spoonful of it at the end anyway.

the restaurant locates in a not-typical-touristy neighborhood, hence quiet and relaxing. the food is fusion, between a here-and-there European style with a Vietnamese touch.

Amazing experience. The food is absolutely the best western fusion cusine I’ve had in Vietnam, the chef really knows what he’s doing. The ambiance is warm, cozy and quiet, nicely tucked away on a quiet street. Can’t wait to go back here when I’m back in Vietnam!

Focaccia bread with garlic confit is delight The tenderness of Scallop is just perfect, they taste soo smooth The salad is decent but the proportion is hugeee definitely too much for 2 people The grilled cobia is a highlight of the night, its firm and sweet but the sauce is kinda simple doesnt addup to the taste The place is friendly. If you want a taste good-feel good dinner night at a not so much fancy and crowded, this restaurant is a perfect choice

This is a superb hidden gem tucked away in Tan Binh. The food was outstanding with generous portions, the Black Angus steak was a stand out dish. The bread and noodles are made in house and on site. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
