Unagi Station does one thing: freshwater eel, kept live in tanks at the front, grilled over charcoal to order. The unadon is the default order and the reason to come.
Thai Van Lung is Saigon's Japanese street, so this place is up against people who know the dish cold. Lunch sets run considerably cheaper than dinner.

The ingredients here are clearly carefully selected and every bite carries a depth of umami that feels intentional. Really solid cooking, and would recommend!

Great unagi...fresh and chewy ...same quality of Japan. One not enough, must order more. Beef also great.
