The pork chop hangs off the plate here
Locals argue about a lot of things, but plenty agree this stall in Phú Nhuận serves the best cơm tấm in the city. Broken rice comes topped with a charcoal-grilled pork chop marinated in a house sauce, pickled radish and a sweet-sour fish sauce on the side.
The chop is the size of the plate, spilling over the edge, and that alone gets people in line. Chicken is on offer too, but it's the pork everyone comes for. A Bib Gourmand landed on the place in 2026.

The rib is huge, recommend 2 girls sharing one plate just to have a taste. The environment wasn’t that great. There were tissues on the floor n had a smell…

Food was delicious! Portions are huge, 3 plates fed a couple with 3 little kids! Quick service and little waiting. It’s located on a smaller street, but the taxi knows how to navigate through. It’s an older establishment no the ventilation isn’t the best (somewhat smokey, they rubbing in fans) so you should consider a quick change of clothes if you’re sensitive to smelling like bbq after eating. They are even Michelin rated (multiple years) woohooo yummy

This broken rice restaurant serves rice that tastes just like the old-fashioned broken rice from around 1990-2000. The flavor is very authentic, which I really like. Many broken rice restaurants now, even if they're good, don't taste the same as back then. Although the restaurant looks a bit dirty and run-down, the food is delicious. Anyone concerned about food safety can buy the rice to take home and reheat it; the taste remains the same.
