Mắm Restaurant

Khanh Hoa cooking built on fermented fish sauces
Mắm takes its name from the fermented fish pastes that anchor coastal central Vietnamese cooking. Mắm ruốc, mắm nêm and fish sauce get worked right into the dishes here, not just poured into a dipping bowl on the side.
The kitchen follows Khánh Hòa recipes: bún sứa with jellyfish, grilled pork wrapped in rice paper, sour fish soups. The room feels more like a proper restaurant than a street stall.

Mắm Restaurant is an absolute must-visit! The service here is top-notch; the staff is incredibly professional, attentive, and always greets you with a warm, friendly smile. The food is outstanding, featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes uniquely prepared with authentic native herbs. You must try them Grilled beef tenderloin with shrimp paste and Crab fried rice - both are bursting with incredible flavor! Their cocktails are also delicious .The prices are slightly higher than nearby restaurants, but the exceptional food quality, service, and unique experience are absolutely worth it.The design is a major highlight, beautifully crafted to look like a stunning natural cave, creating a cozy and enchanting atmosphere. Plus, if you visit on Friday night, you get to enjoy beautiful live performances with traditional musical instruments. Highly recommended!

First off, I gotta mention the outstanding service — literally the best I've seen in Nha Trang. The stuff are super friendly and sweet, speak great English, ask how you're doing, give solid menu recs, and bring everything super fast. Absolute top-tier, huge respect for the service! Also, the place looks gorgeous. It’s a total vibe just being there: chill music playing, kinda feels like a cave or a ship. Super unique spot with an awesome atmosphere. But unfortunately, the food really let me down. It's 2-3 times more expensive than your average spot in Nha Trang, but taste-wise, it’s no better than way cheaper places. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed — expected something way better for that price tag. I can't say the food is bad, but I definitely expected more. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? But there were three of us, we tried three different dishes, and we all agreed the food was just "okay"

We came across Mam’s on our last night in Nha Trang and so glad we did. The dishes were light, fresh and full of flavour. The staff were super friendly and attentive and the restaurant was very charming while being reasonably priced. We will definitely return on our next visit!

Beautiful restaurant in Nha Trang, the best I’ve been to here. Very well presented and tasty Vietnamese food. The steak was gorgeous, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. We also really enjoyed the pork sausage starter where you make your own rolls and dip them in the amazing peanut say sauce. Kiet was a brilliant waiter, really attentive and friendly. Overall would really recommend this restaurant.

For an authentic taste of the region, head to Mắm. It’s family-style dining at its best, but take note: they close relatively early, with last orders at 9:30 PM. Must-Order Dishes: Spring Rolls with Crab Meat: Crispy, golden, and packed with fresh seafood. Grilled Prawn Patties: Smokey and savory. Grilled Pork Jowl: Perfectly charred with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Grilled Cobia: A local favorite with firm, buttery white meat. Fried Rice with Nha Trang Crab: A signature dish that is best shared with the table.
