Liesing's first rooftop bar, built on top of a nearly 100-year-old family grocer

Wilma Rooftop Bar opened in July 2026 on the roof of Stasta's building on Haeckelstraße, run by Christoph Glotz. Stasta is a family grocery that's been trading for close to a century, and the bar sits directly above it, giving Liesing, a district with no rooftop scene of its own, its first one.

The concept mixes soul food, wine, and sundowners, with a menu anchor in handmade Topfennudeln served with Beerenröster, an old family recipe carried over from the Stasta kitchen downstairs. The location, a short walk from Liesing station, gives it an easy pull for anyone heading south out of the city center.

We dined at the Wilma rooftop restaurant in the Stasta Hotel, A-1230 Vienna, on the evening of July 10, 2026, for the "Moments of Taste" three-course meal.
