Specialty coffee and homemade Pierogi behind the Karlskirche, from the team behind Praterstraße's Goldener Papagei

This second Vienna location of Goldener Papagei opened on Argentinierstraße in July 2026, five years after Nathan Spasić opened the original shop on Praterstraße in 2021. The new spot sits behind the Karlskirche and carries the same specialty coffee focus as the first location.

The menu adds a new item: 'Paparogi', house-made pierogi produced on a dumpling machine flown in from Taiwan. The whole concept doubles as a tribute to Spasić's father, who brought Italian coffee culture to socialist Belgrade in the 1980s, a history that still shapes how the coffee here gets made.
