The vegetable-forward second restaurant from the Jola team, on Passauer Platz
Lara soft-opened on Passauer Platz on July 15, 2025, as the second restaurant from Larissa Andres and Jonathan Wittenbrink, who also run the vegan fine-dining address Jola. Where Jola runs a multi-course tasting menu, Lara trades that format for a shifting à la carte list of smaller and larger plates meant to be shared.
The kitchen keeps the same all-plant sourcing and attention to seasonal produce as its sister restaurant, but at a more accessible register: weekday lunch, Saturday brunch, and dinner service six nights a week. Lara is open for lunch Tuesday to Friday, brunch on Saturday, and dinner Monday through Saturday from 5:30pm.

Loved this place! 😍 Great food, great service, great drinks and attentive personnel 🫶 We had the chefs choice tasting menu and every dish was excellent, especially loved the little starters.

All the food was fresh and clearly hand crafted while being very flavorful and beautifully presented. We went for brunch and it was a nice and casual experience.

The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly; they take allergies very seriously and adapt dishes wherever needed. Every single dish is beautifully presented, and the flavors are absolutely amazing. So delicious! Even for non-vegans, this place is well worth a try—you won't miss a thing. Highly recommended for everyone!

We took the chef’s choice sharing menu and were not disappointed - everything was delicious! I can also highly recommend the non alcoholic cocktails, they are absolutely worth trying! Great service too, we will be back 🤍
