Asian-European fusion inside Vienna's historic stock exchange building, from restaurateur Sissi Wu
Nikkai soft-opened at the end of January 2026 inside the Alte Börse, Vienna's 19th-century stock exchange building on the Ringstrasse. Restaurateur Sissi Wu built the concept around Asian-European fusion cuisine, with the name itself a wink at the Nikkei 225, the Japanese stock index, and a nod to the building's former life.
The space runs all day, from coffee and breakfast in the morning through lunch and into dinner, set beneath the exchange hall's historic ceilings. It's a short walk from the U2 Schottentor station.

It is a bit pricy but the quality and service was great. I had one of my best sushis here. The staff were also friendly and respectful. In particular, the restaurant is a great choice for business meetings and lunches.

Definitely one of my favourite places - pancakes & tuna bites is to die for. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing service, great business lunch menu. I highly recommend it. 🔥

I recommend this place for a special occasion! Beautifully and tastefully decorated, lovely ambiance, nice service and waiters (they take your jackets as well), everything we ordered were extremely tasty and of high quality- will definitely come back! Very attentive staff 🤗

Pretty good seafood, sushi and udon. But waiter was not glad of tips 5%. May be wanted more?
