Family-style Italian, three floors up on Wellington Street
Skip the solo main. Ninetta cooks like an Italian grandmother would, with braises and a pasta list that keeps changing, everything sized for the middle of the table rather than one plate per person.
It sits on the third floor of M88 on Wellington Street, part of a run of restaurants stacked three and four floors above the pavement as Central's Italian openings multiply. Going family-style is one of the few ways left here to stand out.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Ninetta. We started with an off menu tuna carpaccio which was incredibly fresh, followed by the buffalo mozzarella, paccheri with lobster, veal chop Milanese and pork skewers. The mozzarella was especially good and we were told it is flown in fresh from Italy daily. Everything we had was very good, and we finished with the Ninetta tiramisu. What made the experience even better was the service. Binetta took such good care of us and did a great job introducing the dishes and helping us order, especially since it was our first time. We were also very happy to meet Chef Marco. The whole team was warm and friendly. Graziano showed us the terrace as well, which looked lovely. Unfortunately it was raining, otherwise we would have happily eaten outside. I guess that gives us a reason to come back!

Great restaurant and deco. Highly recommend italian food :) great portion, each dish was super tasty. The bread was served warm and crunchy you don’t even need butter or oil it was so tasty

Chef Marco’s food is simply unforgettable! The veal tongue bun was a revelation—tender, rich, and packed with flavor. The peach burrata was summer on a plate, creamy and bright with that perfect sweet-savory balance. His pasta dishes are always my favourite!! If you're looking for a place that feels like home but serves food that belongs in a dream, Ninetta is the place. Can't wait to come back.
