Slow-stewed pork leg over rice on Man Wai Street

Khao kha moo is the reason to detour into this stretch of Jordan: pork leg stewed for hours until it falls apart, served over rice, held at a low simmer all day like a Bangkok street stall rather than plated to order. There's a noodle menu too, boat noodles and pad see ew among them.

Jordan's western streets have carried a cluster of Thai restaurants and grocers for decades, and Ning Kee slots into that scene rather than trying to stand out from it. Prices sit closer to a noodle shop than a destination restaurant, built for the neighbourhood's regular lunch and dinner crowd.

Food is amazing especially the fried chicken. It’s crispy yet tender inside. The curry noodle is also delicious. Love it.

If you’re in Jordan, don’t miss Ning Ji’s pig trotter rice – but honestly, their curry noodles stole the show. The broth is rich, creamy, and gently spiced, with a perfect balance of coconut milk and aromatic curry. Each bowl comes with soft egg noodles and a handful of crispy fried noodles on top – that double texture is pure comfort. The portions are generous, and the pork trotter itself is tender and falls apart. What really made the visit special was the service. Every single staff member was super sweet – warm, patient, and genuinely happy to help. They explained the menu with a smile and checked on us without being intrusive. In a busy city like Hong Kong, that kind of kindness stands out. If you want honest, delicious local food served with heart, go to Ning Ji. I’ll be back for the curry noodles and the friendly faces.

"An absolute hidden gem! We had dinner at Ning Kee and were beyond impressed. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy – exactly how it should be. It was served with a flavorful, well-seasoned rice and a sauce that was perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and makes for a great dining experience. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back!"

The pork knuckle rice is out of this world. The khao soi is also really good, i like that they used a thinner egg noodle. Protein portion is also on point.

Affordable thai food at this new spot in hk! Ning kee is absolutely delicious with an incredible menu of underrated Thai dishes! The khao soi was absolutely delicious and a MUST ORDER, very creamy broth and great noodles. The crispy pork with rice and braised pork knuckle were both tasty options as well! You can’t leave with a fresh coconut and refreshing watermelon slushy! And if you are still hungry, their mango sticky rice is delicious. So definitely give this place a try if you are in the area, or their sister restaurant Thai Pai Dong's queue is too long haha
