Terrace Boulud

Daniel Boulud's brasserie, 25 floors above Chater Road

The harbour view alone sets this apart from every ground-level French spot in Central. Terrace Boulud sits on the 25th floor of Prince's Building, chef Daniel Boulud's take on a classic brasserie, run under Mandarin Oriental's dining program.

The menu keeps the brasserie basics: a proper onion soup, steak au poivre, but plates them with the sharper technique Boulud built his name on in New York. It landed the same month as a run of other high-profile Central openings, as Prince's Building competes with the newer Landmark complex a few streets over.

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for an extraordinary evening at your restaurant. Every aspect of the meal was absolute perfection—from the beautifully crafted dishes and superb drink pairings to the delightful, unforgettable desserts that ended our night on such a high note. A special thank you to Lenna, Walter and Matthew for their incredible service, warmth, and attentive care throughout our meal, as well as to the gracious hostess team for making us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Your team’s passion for hospitality made our experience truly memorable, and we cannot wait to return!

I had the pleasure of having breakfast at Terrace Boulud at Mandarin Oriental before my flight. It’s one of the few places open to guests from 7:30 a.m., which made it a perfect choice for an early morning. The coffee was excellent, and I ordered the egg white omelet with spinach—a great option if you’re looking for a healthy breakfast. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the service. The entire team was incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming. A special thank you to GM Mauricio, who made my morning even more enjoyable with a lovely conversation. The interior design is also beautiful-elegant, bright, and very relaxing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Hong Kong.

The food was good we really liked the escargot and steak. and the interior is very stylish and modern. Special thanks to the amazing sommelier Hubert for his wine recommendation and service. I would like to commend our friendly servers Hazel, Voila, and Ronaldo for making our dining experience great. I will definitely recommend Terrace Boulud to my friends and family.

I went for lunch and had a really enjoyable experience. The escargot was absolutely delicious full of flavor and cooked perfectly. That said, I would have preferred the steak and frites to come on a slightly larger plate, as the presentation felt a bit cramped compared to the quality of the food. The desserts were the highlight in the best way: they were amazing and not overly sweet, which made them feel lighter and more balanced. The décor was beautiful and the atmosphere was very inviting. On top of that, the staff were genuinely amazing, friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal.
