A vegan matcha bar on Wenceslas Square
Melt Matcha occupies a narrow unit on Wenceslas Square and does one thing: matcha, in about a dozen forms, all of it vegan. Ceremonial grade for the straight drinks, culinary grade for the lattes and the soft serve.
It is a counter rather than a café, with a handful of stools and a steady queue at weekends. The pastries are bought in from vegan bakeries around the city and change often enough that the board is rewritten most weeks.

The design is neat and I'm curious about the taste. If you like wagons, make sure to go there

The best place for matcha lovers. Excelent flavours, new drinks often. Nowhere in Prague they serve vegan matcha late without soy and gluten. This is the place. Beautiful interior design, comfortable chairs :)

I don't really like matcha but the sweet (strawberry I think) matcha was really good because I like sweet stuff, my other mates enjoyed their drinks too. The service was mid because the cashier never smiled and kind of looked at us weirdly but she wasn't rude or anything. The place itself is very green and in my opinion is nice but for others it might be a bit overwhelming.

The drink (purple matcha) was really good, but for me it was a one time thing. The price is really high for a drink this small (around 150czk). Also there was a lot of ice in the cup so in reality the drink was even smaller. Brandwise, the venue as well as the drinks look amazing. The service was average - no smile, just service which is a basic interaction you would expect in the Czech Republic.

I’m going to hold your hand while I say this… you need to look at that syrups you’re using. I was thrilled to be visiting today but threw my peach matcha in the bin after two sips. Chunky, sickly sweet and overpowering. I’m pretty sure the syrups are not made in-house? I’m a matcha fanatic hence my disappointment. You’re a new business and it’s important to feedback so here I am feeding back! I give you 3 stars as I know it takes time to get things perfect and I don’t want to ruin your Google rating. With love, Tessa
