TOMCSANYI's new shop puts the sewing machines right where you browse
Dóri Tomcsányi has run her print-heavy womenswear label since 2012, building it on made-to-order pieces and local production instead of seasonal overstock. In December 2025 she opened its new home at Király utca 110, near Lövölde tér: part shop, part showroom, part working sewing studio, a project she'd been planning for years.
Nothing here is hidden. The seamstresses cut and stitch in the same open room where customers browse the racks, so you can watch a dress take shape while you decide whether to buy one. The prints are TOMCSANYI's signature, designed in-house and produced in Budapest, and a menswear line launched recently sits alongside them. One room covers the whole chain, fabric to finished garment.
Good to know
- Much of the collection is made to order, so treat a visit as a fitting and browsing trip rather than grab-and-go shopping.
- Weekday hours are shorter than a regular boutique; check Instagram before making a special trip.
