I'm going to nitpick a little here. Since Rosewood is marketed as the most luxurious hotel in the Netherlands—possibly even in Europe—I feel compelled to hold them to a higher standard. Upon arriving, nobody was there to greet us or point us in the right direction (which, coincidentally, was just to the right after entering). The reception area sits in a beautiful inner courtyard, although we had to wait approximately five minutes before someone came to welcome us and escort us to the dining room. No expense has been spared in dressing up the property; there are beautiful details everywhere. However, the dining room ceiling is somewhat low, making you feel like you are in a basement. Although plenty of light flows in, it isn't entirely comfortable. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes (no kidding) just to get the menus, and staff plopped a few bottles of water on our table without pouring them or ever refilling our glasses. After waiting another 15 minutes to order our food and wine, we were left to our own devices. Obviously, I have no issues spending time with my other half, but I expect much more attention from the waitstaff. Dinner arrived 15 minutes later, at the same time as our wine and bread. This is where the service really falls short: wine is typically served slightly before dinner, which can be forgiven, but serving bread at the same time as your mains is just bizarre. The food was mediocre and lacked substance. My wife had a simple pasta (it tasted good, but nothing fancy), and I had a fish dish that was just okay. Within 25 minutes, we were completely done with our mains, dessert, and coffee. The timing overall was incredibly weird. My biggest remark here is that the service simply isn't at the level you would expect from such a landmark hotel and restaurant, especially regarding food timing and attention to detail. If they really want to compete with the best of the best (e.g., Rijks, which caters to the same type of high-end guests), they really have to up their game.

We visited this restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere was very cosy. Amazing first course. But wasn’t a fan of mains n dessert. Overall service was great although staff was not the most attentive. Would definitely recommend for the experience.

On the recommendation of friends staying at the sumptuous Rosewood Amsterdam, we were delighted to join them at the Eeuwen restaurant. I consider this a must-visit for food lovers in Amsterdam: bold, fresh and flavourful cuisine. The service is attentive and delivered with real personality. As an added bonus, there’s an excellent wine list and a unique interior design.

We had an incredible time dining with friends at this restaurant. Each dish was delicious, and the ambiance was incredibly pleasant. Christoforos was incredibly hospitable and provided detailed explanations of each dish with great care. It was evident that he genuinely loves his work, and it shone through in his service. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you to the Eeuwen team and Christoforos for making this evening truly special!

Just had an amazing dinner at my new favourite restaurant in Amsderdam. The oyster dish was especially nice, and I don't even usually like oysters. Amazing experience, will come here again.
