Peruvian food that takes a detour before it lands
A dish arrives looking familiar, then swerves. That's the trick at this semi-basement spot on Avenida Santa Cruz, where chef Heine Herold runs Peruvian cooking through techniques picked up elsewhere.
The room is small and low-lit, better after dark. Herold, also behind Catalina 555, is usually in the kitchen.

Great atmosphere for dining, delicious combination of flavors, excellent presentation, and very friendly staff. I really enjoyed it; it was my first visit, and I hope to return soon.

Melange is simply spectacular! We went with my parents and were absolutely delighted. Everything we tried was wonderful, but I especially want to highlight the perfectly cooked meats, which literally melted in our mouths. We ordered the pappardelle with beef cheek ragu, the beef cheek stew in tomato sauce, and the ossobuco lasagna, and I can't decide which one I liked best because they were all incredible. The northern-style ceviche was an explosion of freshness, bursting with flavor, and the "timberas" croquettes are the kind of appetizer you won't want to miss. As a special touch, they offered us the chiarella tartare on the house, and I have no words to describe how delicious it was. For dessert, the flan and the tiramisu were the perfect ending, flawless in both flavor and texture. The portions are quite generous; you won't leave hungry, and the service is top-notch. The staff is incredibly friendly, always attentive to every detail, and the place is spotless. Everything, from the presentation of the dishes to the atmosphere, is simply perfect.

A very good place; it's hard to find dishes with real character. The flavor combinations are excellent, and the presentation and overall experience are very good. The only area for improvement (this is more of a personal opinion) is the very limited selection of wines by the glass (there was only one), and since I was alone, I wasn't going to buy a whole bottle to have access to other varieties. The service is very good; everyone is very friendly.

Everything was delicious! I would definitely go back. The dish I loved was "From the Jungle, Your Plate." The pleasant atmosphere and excellent service made our visit enjoyable. The desserts were exquisite, but above all, I want to highlight the flavor and variety of the dishes. I will return with my friends and family.
