The sourdough pioneer that came home to Amzei
Miez was one of the first places to take sourdough seriously in Romania, and it just moved back to the neighborhood that made it, a new spot on Mendeleev by Piața Amzei.
This is a shop, not a café. Come for the loaves and whatever pastry survived the morning, then go. Miez means the crumb, the soft heart of the bread, and that's exactly what you're here for.

So glad Miez re-opened and it’s better than ever! The desserts are amazing, bread has not won me over yet but open to trying again. So cool to see the diversity in products. The quality of their lab is wow, congratulations!

I was a Miez frequent client since they were in the original location in Amzei. So glad they came back so I can have freshly sourdough bread everyday. I feel bad for Pain Plaisir (also a customer since they had their 1st shop) and for Casa del Pan. Unfortunately not many deliver true sourdough bread. Not to miss their pastries also. I love the salted leek pie and the biscuits.
