The Istanbul specialty roaster's Ankara bar, off Tunalı Hilmi.

Kronotrop is one of Turkey's better-known specialty roasters, and its Ankara bar brought that standard to Kavaklıdere: single-origin espresso, filter brewed to order and beans roasted by the company itself. It reads as a serious coffee bar first and a hangout second.

It sits just off Tunalı Hilmi, the district's main artery, an easy stop between the area's shops and restaurants. Order a filter and ask what they are roasting; the staff take the question seriously.
