The Biltmore Village art lodge, back from the flood

This 104-room hunting-lodge hotel sits right across from the Biltmore Estate entrance, timber beams, stone fireplaces and chandeliers throughout, plus a gallery running through the public rooms that sells work by regional artists. Hurricane Helene put several feet of water through Biltmore Village in September 2024 and shut the place down completely.

It reopened in May 2025 after a nine-month restoration, one of the clearest signs the village was back in business. There's a spa and restaurant on site, with the shops of Biltmore Village a few minutes' walk away.

Good to know

  • The on-site gallery is open to non-guests and hangs work from regional artists.
  • Biltmore Village is a five-minute walk and the Biltmore Estate gate is directly across the road.

Perry at the front desk was wonderful! She more than once helped us out with last minute requests and was incredibly kind. Every employee we encountered was courteous and professional. Our room was beautiful and our kids and pups were treated with the upmost care. 10/10- we will be back soon!

We had an excellent stay at this hotel! We came across it since it is part of the AMEX platinum benefit. - check in was great and very friendly, greeted with a glass of Prosecco - convenient valet service where you text them when you’re ready for your car - endless free water bottles from valet or front desk - we had a drink at the bar one night and it was great! Friendly bartender - we were upgraded to a suite and it was very nice! Giant, felt luxurious - located in a quiet but cute part of town, close to everything The only mishap was the AC didn’t work very well, and the shower was clogged. But both issues were quickly addressed by their very friendly and helpful handyman. In our giant suite I was surprised that there wasn’t a single full length mirror! So that’s my only suggestion. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Asheville!

The Grand Bohemian is beautiful and is perfectly placed close to the Biltmore. Overall this hotel was immaculate! The service was great including the valets, front desk, and housekeeping. Our only problem was the jetted tub in our suite that kept going off and the pull-out couch being worn. We will be back to this hotel in the future!

One of my new favorite US hotels. The whole place has such a cool vibe, everything is new and fresh, and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Al and the rest of the front desk staff are great, Mia at the gallery was great to meet with, Mario at the restaurant was the best, and everyone else I can't remember. The valet staff are great, the spa was small but gave a great massage, and the cleaning staff was always friendly and prompt when requested. Because of bad weather we spent a bunch of time in the hotel lobby, which is so inviting, comfortable, and has bar service. Make sure to say hello to Gunther. We also spent time walking each floor just to view all the art work, which was fantastic. Another bonus is that the gym has peleton bikes. Location to the Biltmore Estate can not get better without staying on the grounds, which is nice if you want to come and go several times. Platnium+ benefits included a $10 F&B coupon or points and daily continental breakfast, which included fruit, yogurt (honey and granola), a freshly baked muffin, and a large coffee/tea. Alternatively you can use the breakfast benefit for $8 off the a la carte menu. But the continental breakfast was actually enough for me most days (especially since the large coffee alone is usually $10+). No room upgrade for us but we were there during a very busy weekend and booked last minute. I think they do have large balcony rooms. Probably the most pet friendly hotel I could think of. They gave us a dog bed, bandana, water bowl, waste bags, etc. And the staff was always happy to see dogs around and in the lobby. I would recommend they add an outside trash can near the valet for dog waste instead of having to walk into the valet storage area to use theirs or cross busy roads to find another businesses trash.

We came here for 2 nights and it was in a great location. The hotel itself is grand and beautiful the moment you arrive. It gives off cool mid-evil vibes and the architecture throughout was unique. Every Grand Bohemian has its “thing” and you can see the similarities as you visit them as well. The valet guys were very helpful as the front desk agents. Our room was spacious, clean and I loved that we had this opening between the beds and bathroom. The showers were nice, bathrobes were super comfy as well as the beds. We like that there was several places in walking distance and a short drive to many restaurants and shops. Definitely a nice luxurious stay for us and they have the best smelling hand soap and lotion! The gym facility had everything I needed to do a solid work out. Really enjoyed staying here!
