Baba Nahm built its name downtown on fast, flavor-forward Mediterranean plates, and the falafel and shawarma taste exactly as good under the S&W Market's Art Deco ceiling. Grab a counter seat, then head upstairs to Periscope for a cocktail while you wait for your number to be called.

It's the same counter-service format that made the original spot a regular stop, just bigger and open seven days a week now.

It's hard to explain how Baba Nahm packs so much creative flavor into simple, accessible meals. Order something you think you'll like and prepare to be blown away. The staff are friendly, and the ownership puts a lot of emphasis on customer service on top of the food being delicious and customizable. Baba Nahm has quickly become an Asheville staple. Grateful for the Gluten-free and Dairy-free options.

Delicious! We had the steak kabob, a hummus bowl with chicken, and fries. Both had great flavor, especially the steak. We went on a Sunday evening and had no problem with finding seating in the food hall.

A pretty good hummus bowl with steak. The steak was super tender and flavorful. The restaurant is inside the food court. The food court atmosphere is active with plenty of places to sit and watch the people traffic while eating.

Trying out Baba Nahm’s newest location at the S&W. We grabbed chicken kabobs and a Mediterranean salad. Both were great. Plenty of food for the two of us. Great addition to the S&W. Pair it with some drinks from Periscope.

Delicious and beautiful food! Very fresh, great portion sizes and reasonable prices. A wonderful elevated but no fuss place to dine in downtown avl even on a budget! Beautiful and soothing atmosphere, very clean with excellent, kind, and attentive service. What a wonderful addition to the area! Wish they were around when i lived in avl but i plan to make this place part of my routine for visits!
