Asheville's biggest antiques market, rebuilt after the flood
Marquee is a warehouse of vendor booths in the River Arts District, packed with antiques, vintage furniture, art, jewelry and decor. It's the largest market of its kind in Asheville, and the flooding from Helene gutted the building back in September 2024.
It reopened this past September with roughly 350 artists and dealers back in, about three quarters of its pre-flood count. Hundreds showed up the night it reopened. Skip the aisles mentality: rooms are staged like sets, with high ceilings that make browsing feel like wandering a theater.
Good to know
- It's big - allow an hour minimum, and the back rooms hold the furniture.
- Open daily 11am-6pm, which is longer than most River Arts District studios.

I visited with my mother who is currently in a wheelchair. The art selection was vast and gorgeous, which made it incredibly easy to spend nearly two hours looking around. We were also happy to find the location had its own parking lot and accessible spaces at the front. The atmosphere was hip, trendy and comfortable. Although we didn't buy anything, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing local artsits' work and if I vacationed in Asheville again, I would choose to drop by :)

This is a large shop that features many local artist. There are painters, wood workers, photographers, and many other artist. It is well laid out, well lit, and clean. The staff is friendly, and helpful. If you are in the Asheville area, you don’t want to miss this wonderful gallery.

We absolutely loved this place! Our family spent hours here checking out all of the amazing and creative artwork by local artists. Jake, at the front desk, was awesome and a cool dude. We purchased several pieces for our home. We highly recommend visiting this location and are thrilled it finally opened after the damages sustained by the storm. So many local businesses recommended we visit The Marquee, and boy did it not disappoint. Not one bit! We also highly recommend everyone pay a visit to this location. If it wasn’t already on your itinerary, then move some things around and make it happen. Believe me, it’s completely worth it!

Very cool spot with MANY different artist booths and unique items. It’s a huge warehouse (so it can definitely get pretty warm). We walked away with a beautiful art print and ceramic wall art.

Huge art gallery and space with a very wide variety of art across established and up-and-coming artists. You can get everything from vintage furniture to paintings, photos and a variety of handmade art. Artists are sometimes onsite to tell you their story. A vintage record store also in there. Bathrooms are clean.
