Build your own terrarium at this downtown plant shop

Skip the garden centre. This Rankin Avenue storefront packs houseplants, pottery, cut flowers and work by local artists into one small room off a quiet downtown side street.

The real draw is the terrarium bar: pick a vessel, choose your plants and substrate, then build it yourself at the counter. Dogs are welcome, and the shop closes only on Tuesdays.

Good to know

• Closed Tuesdays; otherwise noon to 6pm.
• The terrarium bar is walk-in for small builds but worth calling ahead for a group.
