Skip the craft store markup. ReMix It resells donated paint, paper, yarn, fabric, beads and canvases for a fraction of retail, and the shelves change week to week depending on what comes through the door. Founder Amanda had a full inbox of donations before opening day, which tells you how much unused material was sitting in this town.

Book a session in the open studio and actually use what you just bought. It's on the downtown end of Haywood Road, right in the strip of independent shops that makes up West Asheville.

Good to know

Donation drop-off hours are shorter than shopping hours - check before hauling anything over.
The open studio has to be booked in advance; it isn't drop-in.

It is very rare I leave reviews for anything, but I have to for this spot. What a fantastic place! I’ve been dreaming of a creative reuse store in town for ages, and I’m so excited ReMix It is open. Got to visit for the first time a few weeks ago and I found so many things. And I’m itching to go through my craft supplies to see what I can donate and give new life to. Can’t wait to shop again!

What a fantastic idea that has come to manifestation! Please go here for all of your crafting needs. They have just about anything you'd ever need, at a fraction of the price. Everyone there is very friendly.

My new favorite place in Asheville! This creative reuse center is an amazing addition to the hip Haywood Road scene in West Asheville. They've got a little bit of everything because they're fueled by Asheville creatives!

Super well organized! They had a great selection and prices. Fabric is priced by the pound and organized by yardage. Found a lot of great sewing notions and the pattern bin was overflowing (in a good way). It's so nice to have a resource like this in town especially now that JoAnn Fabrics is gone. They had a little something for every type of crafter.

Great craft supply thrifting. 😊... I will be back next time I visit Asheville. I might even go thru some of my craft supplies and bring some to donate. We need a store like this in St. Augustine.
