Italian food from a cocktail creator, up King Street
Ok Donna's kitchen leans Italian, but the drinks are the tell: built by a cocktail creator instead of a chef, the list gets the same care most places save for the food. Eater called it one of Charleston's best new restaurants heading into 2026.
It sits further up King Street than the main shopping stretch, past where the crowds thin out. That location put it ahead of the Upper King wave that followed, with Bareo, Mother's Ruin and Shokudô filling in around it later.

Awesome spot. You can tell that OK Donna is solid choice when all the local industry peoples come to wet their whistle and grab a bite. The Tuna crudo was spectacular. The basil oil compliments that little dish so well. And pair it with a Kennel club drink. Truly refreshing! I also got the chicken Milanese and it’s two portion for sure. The chicken cutlet is just the right amount of thickness. It’s JUICY, crispy. The salad on top is the perfect compliment to the chicken cutlet. Solid dish.

Amazing food. I was uncertain of trying this restaurant, but a coworker set up reservations for us to come here while out of town. I’m so happy she did. It’s one of the Top 5 restaurants I’ve been to. everything we tried on the menu was absolutely delicious, and service was amazing. Definitely an hidden gem And worth trying!!

10 stars for service, shoutout the greatest of all time Spencer! Celebrated my birthday. Vibes are immaculate. Steak tartare and the carbonara were fire.

We had a great time at OK Donna. Top favorites were the Carolina Gold Rice, Panzanella Salad, and all three desserts. Cocktails and mocktail were top tier.

Walking in I felt transported to Frankie’s in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, circa 2010. Coolness level 10/10, with food & service to match. Great cocktails, too! Not my best photog work(IKEA meatballs were too blurry) but I will def be back soon to try & show more…
