During our 4 day trip to Charleston we tried several highly rated restaurants and Merci was by far the best. Our dinner here was one of the best, if not the best meal I've ever had. We sat at the chef's counter and saw the great care and attention to detail that the staff took with each plate. We started with the tuna crudo and focaccia dishes, which were both amazing. For our entree, we had the beef wellington for two - perfectly prepared and so full of flavor. And for dessert, we had a deliciously fresh peach tart. We will be back again to try some of the many other wonderful dishes we saw come out of the kitchen. Thank you Merci for a truly memorable evening.

Dinner for my wife’s birthday was fantastic. Very small resturant with about 7 or 8 tables but the service and food were perfect. The Beef Wellington was brought out to the table before it was cut and served to each of us. The pea salad was incredibly light and crunchy. The Focaccia had a great soft inside and the hot honey was killer. The Asparagus had the sweetness most delicious lump crab and the beurre blanc was perfection.

Unbelievable food. Every bite carefully thought out with a mix of textures and flavors in each bite. Our asparagus dish, for instance, was asparagus topped with crab meat, trout roe and beurre blanc. Each bite had the smooth spring of the asparagus, a tender chew of crab and a pop from the roe. All glazed with beurre blanc. Truly remarkable. Fois gras was soft and velvety on top of perfectly cooked bread points with prunes which were sweet and chewy. Incredible combination. And save to save room for dessert!

My husband & I chose to celebrate our anniversary here. This was one of the best decisions we’ve made and some of the best meals we’ve ever had and we’ve eaten around the world. The service was outstanding and every dish was delicious. Highly recommend this fine establishment. Truly exquisite food. Merci Chef!

I had a wonderful experience at Merci and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for both exceptional food and outstanding service. From the very beginning, Alex, who answered the phone, did a fantastic job accommodating us on very short notice, which set a positive tone for the entire evening. Once we arrived, Bryan provided excellent service throughout our visit. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food itself was beautifully prepared by Liam and Skyler. Not only was everything presented with great care and attention to detail, but their kindness and personable nature truly stood out. It’s clear that the team takes pride in both the quality of the dishes and the overall guest experience. Overall, Merci delivered on all fronts—great service, delicious food, and a genuinely welcoming environment. The beef Wellington was so worth a wait! Also, it was my first time having foie gras and omg! I could eat that everyday! We boxed up our beef Wellington, since it was so much, we couldn’t eat it alland had it with eggs for breakfast the next morning . I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to others. We would love to have yall on our boat, Harbor Bar for a free sunset cruise so that we can repay the wonderful hospitality that y’all showed us
