Mediterranean seafood with harbor views at Charleston's newest hotel
Skip the idea of a hotel restaurant as an afterthought. The Crossing anchors The Cooper's dining lineup with scallop crudo, whole fish and vegetables pulled from the same coastal growing season that feeds half the peninsula's kitchens.
Harbor views make this a destination on its own, not something guests stumble into by default. The room sits at the center of a wider lineup at The Cooper, alongside a café and a burger counter.

Party of 5 celebrating a birthday. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Our waiter was Michael. He was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails are delicious and the food was out of this world. The setting is lovely with a panoramic view of the harbor. We will definitely be back (Complimentary valet parking is available)

The Crossing is the signature restaurant at the newly opened Cooper Hotel in downtown Charleston of the Beemok Hospitality Collection. Brenda and I had a great time last night. Our server Marina was exceptionally talented and made the whole evening for us at her suggestion we shared the whole Branzino fish after enjoying incredibly well mixed cocktails martinis baba ganoush and octopus. General manager Pablo came over to say hello and make sure we were ok. Over the top five star delicious food service and ambience I highly recommend the Crossing

Beautiful restaurant and great location inside The Cooper Hotel. Food is okay. Nothing to write home about. Servers are kind and attentive enough. Most of the dinner menu is shareable, my table got the ribeye and the branzino. The ribeye was full of fat and really not good especially for the price. Branzino was adequate but not the best I’ve had. The real issue here is the nickel and dimming that is not expected for a luxury hotel/experience. For example when we got the hummus we had to pay extra for a pita and curette to be served with it. It’s got good bones but this place is nothing special.

The restaurant is located right inside The Cooper hotel, quite easy to find. Everyone here is very enthusiastic and friendly from the moment we checked in until we left. The menu is Mediteranean style, quite rich from starter dishes, salads, crudo, seafood to protein-rich main dishes. I am impressed with the spread dish, you definitely should not miss htipiti and muhammara, this dish is served with homemade pita grilled with charcoal, it is very delicious. Seafood (Taste of tide, stone crab) is carefully prepared and feels very fresh. The main dish (Mediterranean Grill) also does not have too many spices, the chef still maintains the freshness of each type of food. Madelyn served it on the side table and talked a lot about the dish, which made it interesting for us.I really like this. If you can drink wine, try pairing it with food. That day, my friend and I were very surprised by the pairing method of Kathleen - the sommelier for us, based on our preferences and tastes, she chose the right wine. Thank you everyone for giving us an enjoyable evening. Wishing The Crossing team good health and always maintain this spirit of hospitality. Hope everyone has interesting experiences.
