Manti and kuurdak on the way to the airport
Ala Too opened on North East River Road in June 2026, a few minutes from O'Hare, and takes its name from the Kyrgyz mountain range. Almost everything else nearby is airport food or a hotel bar, which makes a real Central Asian kitchen here an odd, welcome fit.
The menu runs through regional standards: manti, the pleated steamed dumplings, and kuurdak, meat and onions fried down slowly in their own fat. It beats eating inside the terminal, and it's one of the only Central Asian kitchens on the Northwest Side.

A wonderful place with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The manti were absolutely delicious—fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The service was friendly, and everything was clean and welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic, tasty manti in a peaceful setting, this is definitely the place to visit. Highly recommended!

Amazing food and excellent service! The manti were my absolute favorite - so delicious, juicy, and full of flavor👍 We also loved the beef stroganoff, katama, Greek salad, hot tea, and compot. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted homemade 🫶 We truly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. Highly recommend ALA TOO💞
