Dicey's Pizza & Tavern
★ 4.3 · 188 reviews Chicago Opened March 2026
Tavern-style squares next door to Parson's
Land and Sea launched Dicey's in Nashville in 2022 and brought it to Chicago in October 2024, into the old Parson's space in Ukrainian Village. That location lasted a year. In March 2026 the whole thing moved to North Halsted, right beside its sibling Parson's Chicken & Fish.
The pizza is tavern style: thin, square-cut, crisp at the edges. It runs from plain pepperoni and sausage to the Hippy Flip with mushrooms, taleggio and parmesan cream. Salads, wings, meatballs, garlic bread and tots fill out a menu built for a bar.

A casual bar atmosphere with a solid lineup of comfort food. The Peppy Boy pizza was the highlight - a thin crust pie with crispy pepperoni and a drizzle of honey that added a great sweet-savory balance. The cheese curds and Parmesan tots were also quite lovely. One note is that the bill included an automatic surcharge, though they were happy to remove it when asked.

I’m not a big tavern style pizza person but this may be my favorite one that could convert me. The quality of cheese on everything was fantastic! Loved their Giardiniera cheese curds. The frozen cocktails like Negroni was terrific especially on these hot days. Service with a smile and quick. Also they share the space with Parsons and same owners. @chicagopescetarian

this place is awesome. the garlic parm tots are FANTASTIC. and then the tavern style pizza is basically just as good. they put parmesan cheese on top exactly how I like it. they also have great options for vegans and anyone that cant or chooses to not eat gluten. the service has also been great every time I’ve gone, so if you see any old reviews mentioning bad service, it seems that issue was taken care of. nothing but positive things to say about this place. probably my favorite pizza place since moving to chicago. not sure why this place isnt packed at all times.

Love that this place is in our neighborhood and always wonderful. Great service, consistently wonderful food, and awesome location. My favorite thing is the slushies, especially the pineapple gimlet, pisco control and more than anything, Dr Coconut. They haven’t been rotating Dr Coconut as much - what happened? What did the Dr do to deserve this?? Please, rotate Dr Coconut more often, it’s by far the best one.

Quiet. Open floor layout. Plenty of seats. Really good pizza. Crispy. Great sauce. Ample toppings.
