Mexican and Indian cooking under one Pilsen roof
Chef Mer Mansuria opened Indgō Mrktō in Pilsen in summer 2025 as a café serving Mexican and Indian breakfast and lunch, then added the bar and full dinner service in February 2026. Every counter in the hall is his, which is unusual for the format.
The cooking crosses the two cuisines directly: chilaquiles tortas, and pambazos built with house chorizo seasoned with Indian spice and served with masala fries. The room doubles as an event space, with murals by Chicago artists, local DJs, comedy nights and vendor pop-ups.

- Dinner and cocktails are Wednesday to Saturday.

An incredible chef and his amazing staff are making delicious food here! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The food is incredible; excellent appetizers and very tasty main dishes. I love the chicken wings in Habanero sauce. The burgers are incredible, and the tortas are fresh and delicious. They have a great cocktail menu, too! Great for dinner, getting together with friends, or just grabbing something for yourself.

Amazing quiet space that was surprisingly not very crowded, given how terrific the tacos were. They didn't have tlacoyos that day, but I'm definitely going back to try them. Great spot.

The food was really good. Not that many options to choose from. The option for drinks was limited too. I really enjoyed the masala fries and the chicken wings burgwe was solid 4 outta 5 nothing extraordinary

Chef Mer and the crew offer great food, great service, and a really artistic ambiance. I’d definitely recommend trying a little bit of everything on your first visit, especially if you’re sharing. Everything is well-seasoned and full of flavor, and the staff is remarkably friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be back.
