A Wisconsin supper club rebuilt in River North
Motel Bar came back in June 2026 under Episcope Hospitality, the group behind Layla & Ringo's and Marshall's Landing, with a theme it didn't have before: the Wisconsin supper club. Low light, dark wood, vintage Midwest photography on the walls.
The menu follows the form closely. Shrimp cocktail and cheese curds to start, then supper plates of prime rib, roast chicken or braised pork loin that arrive with potatoes and a soup or salad course, the way they do north of the state line. Grilled walleye and a cheeseburger cover the rest.

Our family spent a wonderful evening at Motel Bar’s outdoor patio space for an evening get together! They have an amazing attentive waitstaff and personnel that helped us throughout the evening and accommodated dietary needs including peanut allergies and vegetarian options for our guests. The outdoor space is well maintained and especially nice if you have young kids that like to play and explore the green area nearby while still being near their parents. We loved having access to their bar and the beautiful weather outside in summertime Chicago. We would definitely host our family again here and had a memorable experience ❤️
