A vegetarian tradition rarely seen on Vegas menus

Vaghareli khichdi is the Gujarati stew of rice, lentils, vegetables and spices. It and deep-fried papadi are among the dishes that rarely appear on Indian menus in this city. The opening promotion gave away a gold bar, which is very Gujarati and very Las Vegas at once.

Taste of Gujarat opened on 24 September 2025 in Suites 16-18 on South Maryland Parkway in the Silverado Ranch area, a family-run restaurant devoted to one of India's great vegetarian traditions.
