New York's 105-year-old egg roll finally reaches the Nevada desert

The original egg roll, the shrimp har gow and the pan-fried turnip cake all made the trip from Doyers Street. Nom Wah started there in 1920 as a bakery before it became the dim sum house New York knows today.

This Summerlin room opened in September 2025, the same year the New York original turned 105. A desert resort is an unlikely address for a Chinatown institution, and that is exactly why people noticed.

I was confused why this famous NYC place had such low ratings, so went to try it out. After the meal, we figured out the reason. Generally, the food was delicious EXCEPT for the soup dumplings. This is an affiliate location, so I learned the soup dumplings are sent here frozen. The wrapper was a bit gummy and that’s why. It’s not made fresh here. No wonder they don’t taste as great. However, the duck bao was delicious and so was the lo mein. The pork and shrimp was ok- a bit bit too dense for me. But I’ll definitely be back to try the other items. It’s a very limited menu. It’s mostly a counter space with a few tables. It’s unfortunate about the soup dumplings because they’re great in NYC.

This is my favorite casino in town as a local, I got genuinely curious about all the new places opening inside. However I was taken back by the bad Google reviews for this place. Decided to take a visit myself and I must say this is worth every penny, the quality of the food and service is amazing. We ordered the peking duck bao, wonton noodle soup, shrimp fried rice, shrimp and pork wonton as well as pork and shrimp Siu Mai. Got hot green tea and had the custard buns and taro buns for dessert. In all the bill was $98 for a load of food that extremely high quality and prepared in front of us fresh and delicious. My recommendation is the pecking duck bao and the wonton noodle soup. My girlfriend absolutely loved this place as well and we will visit for sure again here soon!

Came for a casual bite and somehow ended up in a full-blown bao bun love story. These fluffy little pillows were stuffed with crispy, juicy goodness that had no business being that addictive. I blinked and one disappeared, blinked again and I was questioning if I even ordered enough. The skewers holding them together felt less like presentation and more like a warning to slow down which I absolutely ignored. Then came the lo mein. Steamy, savory, and loaded with all the good stuff. Mushrooms, veggies, perfectly cooked noodles, everything coated in that rich, slightly smoky sauce that makes you keep going even when you're already full. It honestly gave me those classic no-frills, comforting Nom Wah-style vibes. Like the kind of spot where the food speaks for itself, portions are generous, and you leave full and happy without anything overly fancy. Just solid, flavorful, done-right Asian comfort food with a little Vegas polish.

Best radish(turnip) cake EVER (lo bak go). Realy the best ever ever ever. It was so delicious and the sauce it came with complimented it perfectly- no need for soy or chili. It was strips of steamed radish- more radish less rice flour fluff. It was also toasted perfectly and each bite was the BEST bite. I forgot to take a pic until it was almost completely eaten sorry.

Saturday am ask for Jessica and she will take care of you. Service was great and you will feel at home. They added 2 tables against the wall seating 2 ppl each in addition to the 12 bar seating. If you sit at the bar there is an outlet under the counter to plug in a laptop if you need to make it a working lunch. The turnip cake was yummy and comes w a creamy hoisin sauce. The shrimp and pork dumplings were great fried. The low mien noodles came with crispy fried chicken. The noodle texture was unusual but in a good way that soaked up the flavors. Next time I would pass on the pork soup dumplings and shu mai to try something else.
