Josephine
Los Angeles Opened May 2026
A French-Italian bistro in a Silver Lake bungalow, named for two grandmothers
Josephine opened in May 2026 in the mid-century bungalow on Santa Monica Boulevard that used to hold Bowery Bungalow. Marco Gagliardi and Anthony Dragotto, childhood friends, run it and named the restaurant after their grandmothers, both named Josephine.
The cooking sits between France and Italy without picking a side: tagliatelle, tuna belly, steak frites. The menu changes monthly, and there's a separate bar menu for walk-ins. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm, with valet out front.
Good to know
- The à la carte menu changes monthly, the bar menu is the walk-in option.
