Hand rolls as a do-it-yourself ritual, run by the Temaki Society crew.

Sonmari sits on Sunset in Silver Lake and is run by executive chef Hoon Kang under the Temaki Society banner. The name is Korean for hand-rolled, which is the point: the counter builds temaki to order and hands them over while the nori is still crisp.

The menu reaches past raw fish into Korean small plates, so it works as a neighbourhood dinner rather than a strict sushi bar. It fills up quickly for a room this size.
