Texas brisket meets Thai curry, in a pink house

Curry Boys came from San Antonio and opened in a craftsman house on McGavock Pike in March 2025, painted a shade best described as Pepto. Inside it is Texas barbecue crossed with Thai curry, which sounds like a stunt and is not.

Oak-smoked brisket, chicken thighs and sausages slathered in queso come out of a fast-casual counter. Sho Pizza Bar is next door if the queue is long.

Have you ever eaten a fusion of something and wondered, "Why have I never eaten this before? It makes so much sense?" That is exactly what you get at Curry Boys. This is an amazing little place that is fun, vibrant and delicious. The atmosphere is fun and the patio is beautiful but the food truly shines. I had the Chicken lenograss dumplings and they were cooked perfectly and settled into a wonderful yellow curry, velvetly without being overpowering. Then I had the Brisket smoke show as the main and the combination of the smoked brisket in the green curry was accented by the chili oil to elevate the dish to a whole nother level. I added a side of the cucumber to bring some acid which allowed each bite to regenerate that first unctuous knockout punch. The service was super helpful and nice and I am already looking to see when I can come back and try more!!

Oh my. This was the best brisket I have EVER had. And the green curry potato salad should come in a KFC bucket size because I want to eat a LOT of it. Their carryout containers are very functional and sturdy. Friendly staff. Cute space. We did pickup today but the chalkboard of unique cocktails caught my eye so we will totally be back for a dine-in experience. Very lucky to have something this delicious in the neighborhood.

Thai + BBQ is a perfect marriage 🤤 Brisket with curry is the star, smoky tender meat swimming in rich flavorful curry with just the right kick of heat. Bold deeply satisfying fusion that somehow feels both comforting and exciting at the same time. You don’t just finish it, you think about it long after you leave.

10/10 recommend. Everything we had was phenomenal. The pulled pork that was on the nachos as well as in the Tony Porker was some of the best we’ve had in recent memory. The portions were very good sized. We are eaters but couldn’t finish everything. The curry queso on the nachos was very flavorful, even my husband that doesn’t like cheese (I know, he’s weird) liked it. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Excellent Food and Killer Atmosphere. Staff is incredibly nice. BBQ is the best ive had in nashville. Curry is authentic. This is "THE" hidden treasure of the city. 10/10
