Chakriya Un's Cambodian house party on Sterling Place
Seven tables, lime-green walls, backless wooden stools and plastic rhinestone signage on the bathroom doors. Bong reads less like a restaurant opening than like the friends who throw the best parties finally following through.
The cooking does not coast on the atmosphere. There is a crispy whole fish, a bone-in heritage pork chop, golden squid with salted egg yolk, and a lobster listed as Mama Kim's. Tierra Whack and Pop Smoke play over it. Sidewalk seats take the overflow.
