Cinder + Salt

★ 4.5 · 50 reviews Seattle Opened April 2026

Seafood towers inside the Charter Hotel

Cinder + Salt opened in April 2026 in the Charter Hotel on 2nd Ave. Seafood towers, wedge salads, lobster bisque, all of it exactly what a downtown hotel dining room serves.

It does the job well enough for a client dinner or a pre-theater bite. Sit at the bar rather than the middle of the room.

Ate breakfast here everyday and it was really good! Cristhian was my server several days and he was fabulous!

We had such a wonderful experience at Cinder + Salt. The restaurant and bar were brand new when we visited, and you never would have guessed it based on how smoothly everything ran and how exceptional the service was. The staff were so warm, attentive, and welcoming that we actually stopped back in before leaving Seattle just to say goodbye and thank them. It was clear that a lot of care went into both the menu and the guest experience. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. We’d happily return on our next trip to Seattle.

We eat here two nights while we were in Seattle, first night freash oysters, so fresh! And wedge salad i had it with chicken & the other was with dungeons crab & shrimp. Both tasted great. Sat at the oyster bar first night & had a great time talking with the guy who does the oysters. 👍 Second night we sat at the bar & our server Emily was so sweet. It was busy in there, she kept a smile on her face & was kind to everyone. We had the wagyu burgers with fries. Both the burgers & the fries were great. Will go again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've been staying at the Charter Hotel for years, and dining in this space has always been part of my Seattle visits. Although the restaurant has changed names since my earlier stays, it still feels like a familiar place I look forward to returning to. During one of my previous trips, the restaurant was under renovation, so I was excited to finally experience the new concept during my birthday week. I'm happy to say it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was excellent, and the food exceeded expectations. The wood-fired chicken was perfectly cooked, and the Pinot Noir made for a wonderful pairing. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. What I appreciated most was the overall vibe. After a day exploring Seattle, it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a great meal, and celebrate another year of life. Good food. Good wine. Great vibes. No complaints. Just one more beautiful night during my birthday week. I'll definitely be back on my next stay at the Charter Hotel. 🍷✨

I had breakfast here twice while staying at the hotel. It's convenient for hotel guests and I had a $20 off voucher. In my opinion it's not worth the full price of the breakfast. First day: Scrambled eggs were fine, breakfast potatoes were crispy and hot. Iced latte was mid. Second day: I don't recommend the shakshuka, it was served a bit cold. The eggs were poached well, although they should be poached in the sauce (and then the sauce wouldn't be cold). I would recommend getting coffee elsewhere. The latte was served with over-frothed milk, like a dry cappuccino. Shakshuka and coffee came to $40!
