Breakfast khachapuri in the old Compass Rose

Compass Rose ran on T Street for a decade. Sook took the room in November 2025 and turned it into an all-day cafe that becomes a wine bar after dark.

Breakfast khachapuri arrives loaded with cheese, za'atar and eggs. Order the ginger tamarind espresso tonic with it if the morning needs help.

Hands down one of the best coffee’s I have had in DC. They make their syrups in house and they do not disappoint! The coffee was perfect. We also ordered fries, a burger and the chicken wrap. The fries were perfect and served with a garlic dipping sauce and this herby dip as well. Both were fantastic! We also really enjoyed the burger and chicken wrap as well.

Came for lunch and loved the fig leaf latte and chicken wrap, but the kachapuri was just okay. The back area was super cute to sit in. If you want to try their pastries, make sure to come early since they had sold out by noon.

I adore this place but I am begging them to turn the music down. It is so loud you can barely hold a conversation or hear yourself think and the music is not the vibe for such a cute and cozy place. Great coffee tho !!

Great food and service. Love the cozy atmosphere in the back, especially the comfy seating. The flatbread was tasty and the spice bag was a pleasant delight, the roasted potatoes and vegetables inside were crispy.

Came for a glass of wine with friends. The service was amazing- the team is so friendly and kind! The wine was delish, and the vibes were impeccable.
