Hilton's flagship brand debuts in Saigon, stacked like a temple over Me Linh Square
A new-build five-star on a square where most hotels have been open for decades. Hilton Saigon sits at 11 Me Linh Square, its facade stacked in horizontal layers borrowed from Vietnamese temple forms, watching over the Tran Hung Dao statue on the riverfront.
The Strand covers all-day dining and Residence Eleven does northern Chinese food, but Song Bar is the one to book: a rooftop bar with views across to the Thu Thiem skyline. There's an eforea spa too, and a 1,054-square-metre event floor for weddings, though most travelers come for the river view and the newness of it all.
Good to know
- Song Bar on the roof does modern-Chinese cocktails with a straight shot over the Saigon River.
- Ask for a river-facing room; the Me Linh Square side gets the Tran Hung Dao statue and the water.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hilton Saigon. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The hotel is elegant, modern, and beautifully designed, and the service throughout our stay was warm, attentive, and professional. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the breathtaking view. Looking out over the Saigon River and the incredible Ho Chi Minh City skyline was truly spectacular, especially as the city came alive with lights in the evening. It is the kind of view that makes you stop for a moment and simply take it all in. The team also surprised me with a lovely postcard and chocolates, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. Small gestures like this can make a stay memorable, and it certainly did for us. Between the beautiful accommodations, outstanding hospitality, spectacular river and city views, and attention to detail, Hilton Saigon made our visit very special. Thank you to the entire Hilton Saigon team for making us feel so welcome. We left with wonderful memories and would gladly return on our next visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

My stay at the Hilton was nothing short of amazing! I had the pleasure of visiting the executive lounge. It is modern and beautiful with an amazing view. I also had the pleasure of meeting concierge hostess Uyen, who is incredible and absolutely hospitable. I love the food and their selections and the warm hospitality. My room overlook times square and the water. Everything was beyond impeccable. I highly recommend this many times over. Definitely a 10 out of 10. The staff was such an amazing team. Overall, I would regard them as the Dream Team ! Ask for Uyen, Karen, Nha and Koko when you come stay! They will show you the ropes and give you the best recommendations!

I wish to compliment the lounge staffs, Sophie, Linh, Nga and KoKo. I am here a few night and I like the way they work. They were attentive and helpful. The stations are clean, they diligently clean the tables and walk around to see if any guest has any request. I had such a great experience here. Appreciate their service and one of the best lounge by Hilton. The breakfast crew are great too. They were attentive too to check my coffee. Once finish they will ask if I wish to have another. I realise there is no “diamond” “gold” status on the desk which I think will be good to differentiate us for better experience.

Today was my first day at the Hilton Saigon, and I am already extremely impressed. The hotel is beautiful, with elegant facilities and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What stood out the most was the exceptional customer service, which exceeded all of my expectations. The Executive Lounge staff were amazing. Nha, Uyen, Huy, and Karen were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their genuine smiles, positive attitudes, and willingness to help made a wonderful first impression. If this is what the first day is like, I can't wait to enjoy the rest of my stay. Thank you to the entire team for such an outstanding welcome!

Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Saigon, though I do feel the hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get. The location is fairly convenient—about a 700m (10-minute) walk to the markets and the main tourist areas, with plenty of good restaurants and spas right nearby. There were a few distinct negatives during my stay. First, the staff at reception and check-in were quite unfriendly and borderline rude, which was not a great first impression. Additionally, the breakfast is not halal and they do serve pork. However, if you speak to the staff, they will certainly try their best to accommodate your dietary needs. The absolute highlight of the hotel was the breakfast staff—they are truly wonderful people. In fact, I would say they are the only group of employees here that actually reflects the expected "Hilton level" of service. I want to give a specific shoutout to Son and Trihn. They accommodated us so beautifully and were definitely some of the kindest, best people we met in the city. The Executive Lounge is another positive: it is nice, spacious, and serves excellent food and drinks. One of the staff members in the lounge (I wish I could remember her name!) was also incredibly helpful and welcoming. After explaining to her that I am strictly halal, she even offered to have some food made for me in a new pan. I hope Hilton management sees this and gives Son, Trihn, and the lounge staff the recognition they deserve for carrying the customer service of this hotel. The rooms were nice and modern and the suite was excellent and spacious. Overall I would return to the Hilton if I come back to HCMC
