NÔM

★ 4.9 · 387 reviews Ho Chi Minh City Opened 2025

A tasting menu that travels Vietnam north to south

NÔM's tasting menu moves through Vietnam floor by floor, opening on northern flavors, crossing the center and landing on a southern-inspired dessert. A Huế-style beef noodle soup gets refined treatment, and a fish soup arrives lifted with herb oil and caviar. Small vitrines of Vietnamese handicraft are set into the walls, one region per floor.

Chef Chris Fong opened the restaurant on Tran Nhat Duat in Tân Định and picked up MICHELIN's Opening of the Year for 2026. Seats are limited and the format doesn't suit walk-ins, so book ahead.

Nestled in the bustling heart of District 1, Nôm is a brilliant culinary sanctuary that beautifully redefines contemporary Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant masterfully honors traditional flavors while elevating them with a modern, sophisticated touch, turning familiar staples into extraordinary gastronomic creations. Every dish tells a story of cultural heritage, crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a profound respect for authentic Vietnamese ingredients. Combined with its elegant, artfully designed ambiance that seamlessly blends heritage with modern aesthetics, Nôm offers an immersive dining experience that is both deeply nostalgic and excitingly fresh. It is an absolute must-visit destination for anyone looking to savor the very best of Vietnam’s rich culinary soul in a refined setting. The Staff, Ms. Phuong so lovely, friendly and service 10/10 🥰🥰

I had such a memorable experience at Nôm Dining. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be something special. The journey started with an introduction to Chữ Nôm, the ancient Vietnamese writing system, along with beautiful historical artifacts from different periods of Vietnamese history. It felt like much more than just a dinner,it was a cultural experience. The restaurant takes you through the flavors of Vietnam’s three regions, with each floor representing a different part of the country. Having grown up eating Northern Vietnamese home-cooked meals made by my mom for almost 30 years (haha), I was amazed by how the dishes felt both comforting and unexpected at the same time. Every course had the signature flavors of its region, while the chef added creative touches that made each dish unique. I love love love Vietnamese food so much, so I really appreciated how the dishes stayed true to their roots while still feeling fresh and exciting. My Chinese friend, who joined me, summed it up perfectly. After almost every dish, all he could say was, “So good!” 😂 The service was just as impressive as the food. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely fun to talk to. A special thank you to Ngọc Nhớ, who took such great care of us throughout the evening. She spoke Chinese fluently with my friend and explained everything in Vietnamese for me, making us both feel comfortable and included. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. It’s been two weeks since our visit, and we still find ourselves talking about it lol

Absolutely loved our dining experience at NÔM Cultural Dining in Ho Chi Minh City! This Michelin Selected restaurant (recently named Opening of the Year 2026) delivers true Michelin-star quality food and service, and we were thrilled by how very affordable the price was for such a high-quality cuisine experience. The cuisine experience is thoughtfully divided into Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam, creating a great overarching story that beautifully backs up the whole meal. Moving through the immersive regional spaces as the journey unfolds makes it feel like a true cultural and culinary voyage across Vietnam’s diverse heritage. What made the evening extra memorable was our waiter, Dat. He was so knowledgeable about every dish he served us and the deep food history of Vietnam. His explanations were engaging and full of insight. Super friendly and it feels like it’s genuinely from his heart, not just being professional friendly — his warmth and passion created a personal, welcoming atmosphere that elevated the entire experience. I won’t call this a fusion cuisine. Because the root of it is traditional Vietnamese food and you know you are eating Vietnamese food, just that the presentation is using refined French cooking style and contemporary techniques to elevate each dish with artistic precision while keeping the authentic flavors and soul completely intact. NÔM Cultural Dining offers a thoughtful, story-rich fine dining experience that honors Vietnam’s culinary roots with creativity and elegance. A standout choice for anyone wanting an immersive and authentic yet refined meal in Saigon. Highly recommend!

Thank you to the wonderful staff at NÔM for making our anniversary dinner so special! This was a one of a kind dining experience that puts Vietnamese history and culture at the forefront of every meal. My partner and I only stayed within HCM during our trip, but NÔM gave our taste buds a tour of the three main regions: North, Central, and South. The menu is designed to resemble a mini passport that you take with you as you travel through the three main rooms that represent each region. Each corner is curated with intention and featured traditional furniture, pottery, cutlery, and ceramics. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided historical and cultural context along the journey. Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavors reflected the signature dishes of each region with an elevated twist. Our favorites were the bo kho and star apple sweet soup! The staff even surprised us with an anniversary dessert and our tea of choice to take home. Special thanks to Dat, My Tien, and our sommelier Kim for their professionalism and great conversation! We will be recommending NÔM to friends and family in the future.

We came to Nom Dining to celebrate our 40th birthday with a group of friends visiting from Canada. It was their first time in Vietnam, and they wanted to experience both the culture and cuisine of the country. Nom Dining exceeded our expectations on both fronts. What makes this restaurant truly unique is the immersive journey it takes you on through Vietnam. As the evening progresses, guests move through different parts of the building, each representing a different region of the country. Along the way, the team shares stories, history, and cultural insights that add depth and meaning to every course. The food was exceptional. We loved how traditional Vietnamese dishes were thoughtfully reimagined through a fine dining lens while still staying true to their roots. The standout dishes for us were the bò kho, bún riêu, and bánh canh. They were so good that I found myself wishing I could order full-sized bowls of each. The service was equally impressive. Every member of the team was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a memorable experience. Considering they've only been open for a few months, what Nom Dining has accomplished is remarkable. They're pushing boundaries while celebrating Vietnamese culinary heritage, and in my opinion, they're helping elevate and redefine the fine dining scene in Vietnam. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors looking for something truly special.
