Cục Gạch Quán
Ho Chi Minh City Opened Opening date unknown
Two houses, a koi pond, produce from their own farm
Cục Gạch Quán fills two dining rooms facing each other across a Ho Chi Minh City street, a koi pond and leafy garden filling the gap between them. It started as architect Trần Bình's argument for what plain Vietnamese home cooking should taste like, and much of the produce still comes from the restaurant's own farm.
The menu stays mostly traditional: deep fried tofu with lemongrass and chilli, and the signature canh chua cá hú, a fish soup that lands tangy and sweet. It earned a Bib Gourmand in 2026. Save room for the deep fried banana or the herbal sương sâm jelly.
