Huge, crackling rice-flour crêpes stuffed with mung beans, bean sprouts, pork and shrimp: that's the whole menu at Bánh Xèo 46A, and it's all you need. Fold one into lettuce and herbs, dunk it in fish sauce. Skip the air-conditioned room and grab a seat by the open kitchen out front.

Order the bánh xèo with the pulled chicken salad and chargrilled pork, beef, squid or prawns. Get there well before closing. The best dishes go early.
