Hong Kong's first five-star hotel in the new Kai Tak district

This is the hotel to book if you're catching a show at the 50,000-seat stadium across the street. On concert nights, Dorsett Kai Tak doubles as the dormitory for artists and fans alike, and the ground-floor food hall stays open late to feed the crowds pouring out afterward.

Built on the old Kai Tak airport runway, the 373-room tower nods to the site's aviation and marina past in its design. The district still feels half construction site, half showcase, but that's exactly the draw: this is the first full five-star hotel to open here.

Good to know

Book early on concert weekends; the 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium next door sells the hotel out fast.
Harbour-facing rooms overlook the old runway and the cruise terminal rather than the classic skyline; it is a different Hong Kong view, and a good one.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my little brother as part of our trip across Asia, and it was hands down the best hotel we stayed at! The room was spacious, the location was excellent with easy access to public transport, and the views of the stadium and waterfront were fantastic. What made our stay even better was the staff. Everyone greeted us with a smile and was incredibly positive and welcoming throughout. A special shoutout to Kwong, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We can’t wait to stay here again when we return to Hong Kong! Nga Mihi nui

We had a wonderful family staycation here! A huge thank you to Gerald for the smooth check-in process and for kindly arranging a room upgrade for us, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, and the perfect setup for us to watch the World Cup and F1 races. We also absolutely loved the beautiful infinite rooftop pool and the hotel's fantastic, convenient location. Thank you to Gerald and the team for the wonderful hospitality - highly recommend!

Had a fun night in Jin Bo Law after Sammi’s concert! The place was actually super crowd and packed but we got the seat arrangement quickly by the bar manager Wycei which he also kept checking later whether we were good with everything. DJ was playing only Sammi’s songs for some time but after we checked with again, the manager, some other popular Canton songs were in place which actually improving the whole mood to enjoy! We can tell that all the staffs were trying to do their best with such big crowd. Really appreciated for their thoughtful service.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the concert venue, and it definitely delivered on convenience. The location is perfect—just a short walk away, which made the whole experience so much stress-free. Despite being fully booked with lots of guests around, the front desk and staff managed everything impressively well. Check-in was smooth and the atmosphere never felt chaotic. A special shout-out to Coco, who went above and beyond when we had an issue with our TV. She was incredibly helpful and patient, sorting everything out quickly so we could relax and enjoy our stay. Really appreciated her warm attitude and professionalism. Would happily stay here again for any future concerts in the area!

Checking into the hotel was a pleasant and very hospitable experience. The front office manager, Mr. Icarus was very helpful and gave us a very easy Checkin experience. The facilities are top notch including the gym (by hotel standards) and the sky bar. Nothing bad to say overall…! Will come back again on our next holiday trip!
